The Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities has continued with the mission of imparting education to promote the implementation of practical aspects of Applied Sciences and Humanities since its inception and to form a strong foundation as part of engineering education. In addition, a vision has been set to open research fields in the field of applied sciences and humanities, thereby ensuring the scope for offering Masters and Doctoral level courses in relevant subjects related to the field of applied sciences and humanities.
Applied science is important because it allows science to be better applied in real life. Without it, great scientific discoveries may be limited, as human knowledge will increase but be underutilized. Every invention, medicine, and even building is the result of applied science (engineering and medical science).
What is applied science? Applied science is a discipline that is used to apply existing scientific knowledge to develop more practical applications, for example, technology or inventions. In the natural sciences, basic science (or pure science) is used to develop information to explain phenomena in the natural world.
