Satyam Prakash is a 3rd year student of Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering at Delhi Technical Campus. He is also the co founder of a startup
“TechXcl India” which is a tech startup and creates Internet of Things based products.
Satyam and his team has created an innovative solution to solve water crises, the startup has designed Saafwater, which is an AI-IoT platform that monitors water quality and forewarns its users of potential contamination along with purification recommendations in real-time.
Saafwater uses the patent-pending technology to identify physical, chemical and biological contamination instantly using a limited set of sensors thus increasing accessibility due to reduced sensor cost, and reduces operational and maintenance burden.
Due to this approach of Saafwater from across 5,00,000
participants from 180 nations, eminent judges including former US President Bill Clinton awarded Saafwater as the winner of the IBM Call for Code Global Challenge 2021. With support from its partners such as the UN, Arrow, The Linux Foundation, today
Saafwater is solving the problem of water contamination that is affecting ~2,00,000 people every year in India and 1.1 Billion people around the world.
Started from a newspaper article report which mentioned about the problems that people are facing due to accidental consumption of contaminated water, today
Saafwater is the Technology and Implementation partner of the AMRUT 2.0 mission of the Government of India with sponsored deployments across the smart city Hyderabad and serving the Hyderabad Municipality in their city water distribution and management.
Saafwater’s mission is also acknowledged by the Hon. Prime Minister of India on 26/12/21 in his Mann Ki Baat episode.
Saafwater is also the semifinalist of the Harvard President’s Innovation Challenge 2023.
Apart from the ongoing project work of Saafwater , Satyam Prakash and his team constantly looks for the problems that the society faces and tries to solve them with help of technologies like Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
